STATE ADOPTS A NEW NATIONAL FLAG
The state adopted a new national flag today, after holding a referendum between 07th and 10th October this year. The polls were opened on 07th and closed on the 10th. Five designs were selected by the Central Advisory Committee and put to vote on the ballot.
The approved design received 33.3% of the total votes polled, thereby becoming the most voted design. The others received 20% each for the other three designs and 6.7%, by the fourth design. The results were announced early this morning by His Majesty on the official twitter handle and the discord server of the nation. His Majesty quoted:
The results of the referendum for a new flag that was held between 07th to 10th October 2020 are as follows: Design 5: The blue background, with the federal crown in blue with a gold encircled background and the six vertical bars representing the six provinces has secured 33.3% of the total votes polled hereby to be approved and selected to be the design of the new flag. Thereby, in exercise of my powers, as the Monarch of Vishwamitra, I, respecting the people's verdict, do hereby announce that from now and this moment, the existing flag shall cease to be used, and that the new flag shall be into use with immediate effect.
With the announcement being official, the flag that was in use from 08th June 2020, ceased to be into use. The current flag is designed by His Highness Gheorghe Stefan Marius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
VISHWAMITRA JOINS CUPERTINO ALLIANCE AS AN OBSERVER NATION
The State of Vishwamitra was today incorporated as an observer member in the Cupertino Alliance. In a statement issued by the Chair, Jayden Lycon, it was announced that "The State of Vishwamitra has been accepted as an observer". Last week, the members voted for the application of the nation after the European and African Auxiliary session held last Sunday.
Out of the thirteen votes polled, eleven were in favour of the nation, while two votes were in opposition of the application. The State joins the Republic of Wendatia, Desert District and Kingdom of West Sayville, who were incorporated as observers as well.
In a statement from the Monarch of Vishwamitra, he thanked all members who voted for the nation and that, the State shall always cooperate with all fellow members and contribute to the organization in the best of their ability and knowledge.
The Cupertino Alliance is an international organization founded on 10 March 2019, and is one of the highly professional organizations in the entire community. The current Chair of the organization is H.E. Mr. Jayden Lycon of Aenderia and the Lieutenant Chair is H.I.M. Logan Ross of Aenopia. Soon after becoming an observer, the Rashtradhyaksh appointed H.H. Gheorghe Stefan Marius, as second delegate to the Cupertino Alliance, with the additional title of "Lord Ambassador of the Nation".
VISHWAMITRA-SRB TALKS HELD
Among one of the most recent events held were the talks between the State of Vishwamitra & the Socialist Republic of Brittany, which took place on 10th October (Saturday) at 7.00 PM IST virtually. Attended by the leaders of both nations - The Rashtradhyaksh H.M. Dhrubajyoti Roy and the President of the Supreme Council of SRB H.E. Pierre Pellen, the talks were termed to be highly important for the two nations and shall certainly contribute in strengthening the ties between the two nations.
At the beginning of the talks, the Rashtradhyaksh thanked the President for the two honours bestowed upon him - "Hero of the Socialist Republic of Brittany" and the "Order of Friendship of the People's", which were conferred upon him on 07th October. The President in turn thanked the Rashtradhyaksh for all help and support extended voluntarily to his nation and its people. He further added that Vishwamitra is a true friend and ally of the Socialist Republic of Brittany and that both nations shall always look forward to work for a common goal and shall always cooperate with each other.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed about the history of their nations and ways in which the relations between the two nations shall be strengthen in the future. They also decided to hold an exchange programme focussing on values, ideas, culture and heritage.
Earlier, the Rashtradhyaksh granted The President Mr. Pierre Pellen, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Territorial Crown of Purvanchal for his acts of friendship towards the nation.
RASHTRADHYAKSH AIMS TO STRENGTHEN TIES WITH EBENTHAL
His Majesty The Rashtradhyaksh had always termed the "Kingdom of Ebenthal" to be a strategic partner of the State of Vishwamitra, and the recent interactions and regular communications with the King of Ebenthal, H.M.G.M. Arthur II had added more in strengthening the relations.
The King had appointed and conferred the Rashtradhyaksh with the Grand Cross of the Order of the Silver Cat, the highest decoration of the Kingdom of Ebenthal, on 25th September 2020 as an act of friendship between the two nations. He also termed Vishwamitra's tremendously fast developments in micronationalism, more recently, the joining the Grand Unified Micronational as an achievement. The Kingdom has always been supportive of the State in all its need. The two leaders also wished to meet virtually soon in order to discuss further course in the relations.
The Rashtradhyaksh had further termed that it is indeed an honour for the State to have an ally like Ebenthal, and indeed a friend like King Arthur II.
FOREIGN RELATIONS - THIS WEEK
Among top developments this week, the nation signed four mutual recognition treaties and entered into bilateral relations.
These include - The Unitary State of Swivia (on 04th October), The Republic of Upper Shwartz Morgen Lorgen Land (GSMLL) (on 09th October), The Republic of Rino Island and the Southern Confederation of Angosvria (both on 11th October).
Swivia and GSMLL are members of the Grand Unified Micronational, whereas Rino Island is a much famous nation in the South American sector and a member of the Santiago Conference. Angosvria is a successor state of Gugutanea and Frutillar Countries, and is a member of the Organization of United Nations Microstates (OMENU).
The Government is determined in extending a hand of friendship with all like-minded nations, and is confident that the nation's cooperation with all such other micronations continue to the fullest.

CASPER VON NAVERIA IS DIME MICRONATIONALIST OF THE MONTH
In an announcement made early this morning, it was declared that H.R.H. Casper von Naveria is the "DIME Micronationalist of the month" for this month. One of the closest friends and ally of Vishwamitra, he had been an active micronationalist.
His career in the community, though not long, is full of achievement and the recent developments in his nation and him being appointed as a MW@Discord Administrator adds to the list of achievements. "We congratulate him for the title and we wish to also be with him as a friend and ally nation" - says the Rashtradhyaksh.
