Vishwamitra-Atlia Summit held successfully

Rajagriha, the 16 July 2021: The much awaited diplomatic summit between the State of Vishwamitra and the Kingdom of Atlia took place successfully yesterday, the 15th of July 2021 after a month long planning and efforts laid forth by the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra and the Prince Regent of Atlia.

The Vishwamitra-Atlia Summit on Political and Diplomatic matters in Micronationalism, as the official name of the summit said, began at 21:30 Indian Standard Time for Vishwamitra and 11:00 Central Daylight Time for Atlia and lasted for about an hour and seven minutes. The Rashtradhyaksh Dhrubajyoti Roy represented the State of Vishwamitra, while the Prince Regent Luis Marcel represented the Kingdom. The opening of the summit took place with the formal playing of the national anthems of the two nations in the alphabetical order of the nations, with the Atlian national anthem "Himno del Reino de Atlia" being played first, followed by the "Shanti Hamara Laksha Hai", the Vishwamitran national anthem.


Certain topics of importance were finalised during the planning phase to be discussed during the summit, which included -

  • Internal and external politics in both nations

  • Diplomacy and how each nation conducts it

  • Diplomacy in the micronational community

  • Priorities in internal matters of every nation

Both the leaders gave their valuable opinions on the topics which added an element to the summit. Following the end of the formal discussion, the Treaty of Cooperation and Friendship was signed between the State of Vishwamitra and the Kingdom of Atlia simultaneously in physical versions which gave a boost to the existing relations between the two nations which were established through the signing of the treaty of mutual recognition on 23 August 2020. The treaty of cooperation and friendship designated 23 August every year to be celebrated as Atlia-Vishwamitra Friendship Day, a day to commemorate the close friendship between the two nations. Later, the two nations issued individual royal decrees to formally establish the day of commemoration. The treaty also designated that the two nations will cooperate to write and publish a joint booklet on the history, culture and relations between the two nations before the celebration of the first anniversary of the diplomatic relations.

At the end of the summit, both leaders thank each other for their participation in the summit and for their cooperation which gave a strong boost to the enhancement of the cooperation and friendship between the two nations. Soon after the summit, a statement was issued by the Rashtradhyaksh on the discord server of Vishwamitra, which said:

The successful Atlia-Vishwamitra Summit on 2021 Summit on Political and Diplomatic matters in Micronationalism took place between 9:30 - 10:30 pm IST this evening. Vishwamitra was represented by His Majesty the Rashtradhyaksh, while Atlia was represented by His Royal Highness Luis Marcel, the Prince Regent. The summit is a result of a long time plan with efforts from both attendees. During the summit, a lot of topics were discussed which culminated with the signing of the "Treaty of Cooperation and Friendship" which is a boost to the existing treaty of mutual recognition between the two nations as the relations between the two nations were uplifted to a different level of true friendship and mutual understanding. It was mutually decided to jointly celebrate 23rd August every year as Atlia-Vishwamitra Friendship Day and also a booklet is being planned to be released by 22nd August this year.

The Prince Regent also took to his twitter handle to formally announce of the event.

The two nations have had a close and friendly relationship since the formalisation of relations on 23 August last year. Regular communication between the two leaders have helped to significantly add to the strengthening of the ties and further cooperation. Prior to the summit, Prince Luis Marcel was appointed to the second highest Purvanchali state honour, the Most Noble Royal Family Order of Purvanchal in the second class of Grand Commander (GCOP) for his extended friendship to Vishwamitra and Purvanchal. Prince Luis Marcel has previously also been conferred with the Royal Order of the Crown of Vishwamitra as a Knight Grand Cross (KGC), Order of Diplomatic Service Merit as a Member First Class (M1DS) and the Order for Merit and Public Service as Companion (CMP).
