Vishwamitra at 15!

BY THE CHIEF EDITOR

15 April 2022, Rajagriha: Fifteen years back, three kids - Arnisha Phatowali, 7; Dhrubajyoti Roy, 5; and Tanishkaa Patranabish, 3, laid the foundation of a fun project which has today evolved into one of the popular and much admired "micronations" in the world and potentially and mostly-known micronation from the continent of Asia.

The nation of Vishwamitra began its year-long celebration and festivities marking its 15th anniversary of foundation! Time has passed so fast that it became hard for us to realize that, once a toddler, is a teenager today! It is undoubtedly a proud moment for the Founders and the National Heroes of the nation, who have devoted themselves for the welfare, progress and development of the nation.

Early celebrations of the occasion began almost a month ago with the launch of the special commemorative logo of the occasion which was designed back in 2021 by National Artist Lord Jayden Dagsa, Duke of Karad, who also leads the Crystal Jubilee Celebrations Committee as Chair.

The tagline of the occasion "Dirghayu Vishwamitra" derives from the Sanskrit term "Dirghayu" meaning Long Live. It is a prayer that we all wish that Vishwamitra lives for long and creates lot of milestones in the future to come.

Since, the annual celebrations always coincide with the Bengali & Assamese New Year, the initial celebrations were marked by low-key festivities with congratulatory messages being delivered by the Rashtradhyaksh and the other Great Officers of State - the Chairman of the Conference of Rulers, the Prime Minister, the President of the House of Councillors, the Speaker of the House of the People, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. In his message to the nation, the Rashtradhyaksh thanked everyone who have contributed towards Vishwamitra in this journey of success. He mentioned:

Fifteen years ago, on this day, we led the foundation of our nation unknowing of our current status and progress towards safeguarding the freedom, sovereignty, territorial integrity of the Nation and strengthening national reconciliation and social and political rights of all our citizens.
In this journey, we have come across several ups and downs in our progress but we were always determined that no matter how much the dark clouds pour, there shall be a bright sunshine following it. We might have fallen as many external evil powers tried their best to demotivate us, but we have grown double all the time. Vishwamitra’s growth and success can never be measured and mentioned without the significant contributions made by our founders and leaders. ...
Lastly, let us all stand united together for serving the nation to the best and highest of our capabilities and to continuously lead the nation towards newer heights for the sake of the development of our people! Each one of you who have continuously served for the welfare and progress of the nation are extraordinary people and I can surely promise that none of your contributions shall go unrecognized! Let Vishwamitra shine! Let the flag fly high!
Long Live Vishwamitra!

The messages of the other Great Officers included special thanks and gratitude being extended to the founders of the nation and remembering all those who have meritoriously and continuously been supportive of the nation's growth and progress.

The National Day Honours 2022 (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RbCjIlAB6p-aN_WcaiGpcoMzer5o5RGWcVPVzGYDCzk/edit?usp=sharing) was also issued by the Royal Household earlier this morning rewarding and recognizing meritorious contributions to the nation. In an extraordinary move, the Chief of the Air Staff was promoted to the five-star rank of a Marshal of the Air Force becoming the first active service officer to receive such high status. The Rashtradhyaksh has also received multiple congratulatory messages being extend to him on this occasion. Congratulatory letters have been sent by the Emperor of Atiera, King of Winterspell, Queen of Queensland among notable.
