Rajagriha, 15 June 2025: In the early hours of 14 June 2025, Saturday local time, the ministers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended the Rashtradhyaksh to withdraw the unilateral recognition of the State of Israel granted back in 2017 on grounds of Israel's role in the genocide in Gaza, disrupting peace and stability, attacks on civilian infrastructure in neighbouring states, and most latest, the unprovoked attacks on Iran which infringed Iran's sovereignty. Immediately after the recommendation was made, a notification was published in the Royal Gazette:
Acting at the recommendation of the Ministers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Illustrious and Royal Majesty THE RASHTRADHYAKSH has given orders to unrecognize the State of Israel with immediate effect. Thereupon, the Presidential Order issued on 1 January 2017 recognizing the State of Israel is hereby nullified.
Earlier, on 13 June 2025, the Rashtradhyaksh's Office published a condemnation of Israel following the attacks on Iran. The statement reads,
We express our unequivocal and strongest condemnation of the recent attack carried out by Israel on the territory of Iran. This act of aggression is a grave and unacceptable violation of international law, sovereignty, and the fundamental principles of peaceful coexistence. The attack has led to the tragic and senseless loss of innocent civilian lives, for which there can be no justification. Such actions not only inflict immeasurable human suffering but also further inflame an already volatile regional situation. By choosing the path of military escalation, Israel has dealt a devastating blow to the prospects of peace, stability, and dialogue in the region. We denounce this provocation in the strongest possible terms and call upon all parties to exercise utmost restraint. The escalation of hostilities threatens to plunge the broader Middle East into a cycle of violence with catastrophic consequences for the entire world. Peace cannot be built on the ruins of civilian lives. True security lies in diplomacy, mutual respect, and adherence to international norms. We therefore urge an immediate de-escalation of tensions and a return to dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations and relevant international frameworks. Violence must not be the language of resolution. We stand firmly for peace, justice, and the sanctity of human life.
This was the first time since the beginning of Israel's atrocities in Gaza that a statement was issued condemning Israel's role. It is one of the major tenets of Vishwamitra's foreign policy that macronational affairs are not to affect micronational affairs. This is evident from Vishwamitra's policy on Kashmir and India-Pakistan relations. Regardless of macronational differences, it was agreed between Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya and Supreme Leader Amir Abbas Arya'i of the People's Republic of Arsalania in 2021 that, despite the regional macronational atmosphere, both states would maintain peaceful and amicable diplomatic relations with each other. The same policy was also adopted while establishing relations with the Creek and Lake in 2023, and became a foundational objective of the South Asian Association of Micronational Cooperation.
However, in the events following the unrecognition of Israel, the Empire of Levinia published a statement severing ties with Vishwamitra. Levinian foreign policy requires "micronations" to recognize Israel or seek neutrality on the issue of Israel-Palestine. Vishwamitra first established diplomatic relations with Levinia in May 2024, but the relations soured in September 2024 after informal statements of Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya condemning Israel's aggression in Gaza. This ultimately led to the severance of ties. After months of deadlock, in April 2025, both states re-established relations, however, with a weak foundation. The first red flag was raised following Emperor Benjamin's seeking information over Vishwamitra's recognition of Israel, which is (possibly) the most important requirement to establish ties with Levinia. They also raised a concern over Vishwamitra's prosperous relations with Imruland, a regional ally, whose leader, Showib Ahmmed, was falsely accused by Emperor Benjamin over Imruland's strong support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. Emperor Benjamin, a vocal supporter of Israel and the genocide in Israel, accused President Ahmmed of Imruland of having threatened his life only because Ahmmed and Imrulians strongly advocate the Palestinian cause. It is a common sentiment for anyone to be sympathetic with the Palestinian people and condemn the atrocities being meted out to them by Israel.
Levinia's entire foreign policy revolves around Israel and how nations take a stand on the issue. It is a common trend when Emperor Benjamin, a Jew by religion, accused people of anti-semitism to excuse his strong support for Israel and Israel's genocide in Gaza. The government of Levinia has failed to recognize the fact that Israel and its leaders had committed a crime in Gaza, including the bombardment of hospitals, shelters, refugee camps and its refusal to allow humanitarian aid in Gaza. To Levinia, micronationalism, seemingly, is all-out gathering support for the genocidal regime, rather than participating in micronational projects. It does not bother them if a nation has manpower or not, or if a nation claims physical territorial claims (as it maintains ties with a nation without any physical territory). What matters most is supporting Israel.
Vishwamitra strongly denounces Levinia's actions of unilaterally severing diplomatic relations and accusing Rashtradhyaksh Varuna and many others of antisemitism. Vishwamitra shall continue to condemn Israel's atrocities in Gaza and its actions that infringe regional sovereignty, peace, and integrity. Vishwamitra also condemns Levinia's allegation that the United Kingdom of Creek and Lake is a puppet state of Vishwamitra, which raises questions about Levinia's seriousness and professionalism. Emperor Benjamin's statement on severing relations was drafted in an unprofessional tone with a ranting rhetoric, rather than seriously addressing the legitimate reasons for the severance of ties. This is basically because there is a lack of legitimate reason for such an action. Levinia and its Emperor Benjamin strongly support the genocide in Gaza and all other actions carried out by the Israeli regime.
